Life at Autumn House

Comfortable, engaging and truly homely. This is what daily life looks like here.
Life with us

A place to feel comfortable, connected and at home

Life at Autumn House is about far more than day-to-day care. It’s about feeling settled, supported and genuinely at home. Each day is shaped around the individual, with residents encouraged to live as independently as possible while knowing help is always close at hand.

From shared mealtimes and meaningful activities to quiet moments of relaxation, our home offers a warm, friendly environment where residents can connect, feel supported and continue to enjoy the things that matter most to them. Families are always welcome.

Accommodation

Your own space, made your own

Autumn House offers 30 fully refurbished bedrooms, each presented as a blank canvas. Residents are encouraged to bring familiar furniture, photographs and treasured belongings to make their room feel personal, comfortable and truly theirs.

Every room is designed to feel calm and welcoming, with both privacy and independence in mind, and experienced staff always close at hand.

Communal spaces

Spaces to relax, socialise and unwind

Our home features a number of inviting communal areas where residents can spend time together or enjoy a quiet moment alone. Our bright conservatory is a particular favourite, a peaceful space to sit, chat and watch the seasons change.

We are also developing a dedicated palliative care room designed to provide comfort, privacy and dignity for residents and their families at every stage of life. Coming soon.

Outside

Fresh air and private outdoor space

Our private outdoor area and patio gives residents a safe, pleasant space to enjoy fresh air, take in the garden and spend time with visiting family and friends.
Mealtimes

Home-cooked meals, made with care

Mealtimes are an important part of daily life at Autumn House. Our dedicated kitchen team prepares fresh, nutritious meals every day, tailored to individual dietary requirements and personal preferences. Choice and enjoyment are always encouraged.

From a hearty breakfast to an evening meal, food at Autumn House is about more than nutrition. It’s about comfort, familiarity and something to look forward to.

Activities and wellbeing

Staying active, connected and engaged

We believe that staying socially connected and mentally engaged is an important part of wellbeing. Our activities programme is designed to encourage interaction, enjoyment and a sense of purpose, while always respecting personal choice.

Whether joining in with group activities, spending time in the garden or simply enjoying a chat over a cup of tea, residents at Autumn House are supported to live full and meaningful days.

Hairdressing

Look good, feel good

Our on-site hairdressing salon offers residents the chance to enjoy a wash, cut or style without ever having to leave the comfort of home. Regular visits from our hairdresser are a popular part of life at Autumn House, giving residents something to look forward to and a welcome boost to confidence and wellbeing.
Health and wellbeing services

Expert care, right on your doorstep

We understand how important it is for residents to access the right healthcare, without the stress of travelling to appointments. That’s why a range of health professionals visit Autumn House regularly, bringing expert care directly to our residents.

Our GP carries out regular ward rounds, ensuring residents’ health is monitored closely and any concerns are addressed quickly. We also welcome visiting podiatrists, dentists and opticians, so residents can stay on top of routine check-ups and treatments in a familiar, comfortable setting.

By bringing these services on-site, we help residents maintain their independence and wellbeing, while giving families peace of mind that health needs are always well looked after.
